ABSTRACT

Objective: To optimize the preparation process of Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus granules(SCFG) to obtain a stabilized and qualified SCFG-preparation. Methods: The Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus raw materials were extracted by decoction with water, and the extraction process was optimized by the orthogonal test. In the orthogonal test, the yield of total extract and the extraction rate of schizandrin were used as evaluation index, and the effect of solid-liquid ratio, decoction time and extraction times on the indexes were investigated to optimize the related parameters of these fac- tors. Meanwhile, the concentration process, drying process and granulation process were also investigated to finally opti- mize the preparation process of SCFG products. The content of schizandrin was determined by the HPLC method. Re- sults Under the HPLC conditions in the Pharmacopia of the People’s Republic of China(2015 edition),schizandrin showed a good linearity in the range of 0.03598-0.28784 μg(r=1.0000),with the average recovery rate 99.32% and RSD 2.17%. The conditions for the optimized extraction process were 3 times of extraction, with 0.5 h of each decoction time and with the 1:8,1:6 and 1:6 solid- liquid ratio in turn. The conditions for the optimized concentration process were concentrating at 60℃ and -0.08 MPa vacuum to a certain concentration. The conditions for the optimized drying pro- cess were drying at 60℃ and -0.09 MPa vacuum to a dryness. The conditions for the optimized granulation process were adding appropriate amount of dextrin, using 90% alcohol as moistening agent, and sifting with 14 mesh sieve and desic- cating at 60℃. Conclusion: The improved method is feasible, simple, stable and suitable for large-scale production of SCFG products.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To investigate the curative effect of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens ( IOL ) implantation combined with goniosynechialysis in the treatment of age-related cataract merging with primary angle-closure glaucoma ( PACG) . · METHODS: Totally 80 patients with age-related cataract merging with PACG were in our hospital from January 2014 to January 2016. The preoperative average intraocular pressure ( IOP) was 33. 22 ± 3. 17mmHg; the average depth of anterior chamber was 2. 07 ± 0. 15mm;the dynamic situation of primary angle closure ≤1/2 cycle by gonioscope. They were randomly divided into Group A and B for doing a study. All the two groups were treated with phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation. And the Group A was with goniosynechialysis. The following up period was 2mo, and we observed the IOP, chamber depth and the anterior chamber angle. · RESULTS: The change of chamber depth and intraocular pressure about the two groups: the average intraocular pressure of the Group A was 15. 11 ± 3. 67mmHg,the chamber depth was 3. 11±0. 08mm;those of the Group B were 17. 24 ± 1. 67mmHg, 2. 76 ± 0. 15mm respectively; the differences had statistical significance (P<0. 05). Postoperatively, there were 28 eyes (70%) in Group A with fully open anterior chamber angle, and 18 eyes (45%) in Group B (P<0. 05). · CONCLUSION: The phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation combined with goniosynechialysis in the treatment of age-related cataract merging with primary angle-dosure glaucoma is safe and reliable. It's simple to operate, and do not increase the risk of surgery.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effects of the recombinant human interleukin-1 receptor antagonist(rhIL-1ra)on a toluene-2, 4-diisocyanate (TDI)-induced guinea pig allergic rhinitis (AR)model. Methods An AR model was established via sensitization and challenge of two-step procedure using TDI in guinea pigs. Normal animals were treated only with the olive oil(TDI vehicle). Sixty adult guinea pigs were randomly divided into six groups (n=10): normal group, model group (rhIL-1ra vehicle), positive control group (budesonide, 25.6 µg/kg), rhIL-1ra treated groups (rhIL-1ra 50, 100 and 200 µg/kg, respectively). From day 8 after sensitization, animals of all the groups were treated respectively with the agents or vehicle once a day for 14 days. During the observation period, the index of clinic score was recorded for every animal. At day 14 of the dosing, guinea pigs were sacrificed 30 min after the last TDI challenge and observation. Blood samples were taken from the abdominal aorta to prepare the serum for detection of histamine, and the nasal mucosase were dissected for histamine detection and histopathological observation. Results Compared with the guinea pigs in normal group, those in the model group exerted the typical symptoms of AR. It was shown that rhIL-1ra could improve nasal symptoms and cause a significant decrease in the instances of nasal sneezing as well. In addition, rhIL-1ra significantly reduced the concentrations of histamine in the nasal mucosa and IgE in the blood compared with those in the model group (P<0.05). Moreover, the pathological results showed that less edema, vasodilation and inflammatory cell infiltration were found in the nasal mucosa after rhIL-1ra application. Budesonide also showed the above effects with no significant difference compared with rhIL-1ra. Conclusion A guinea pig allergic rhinitis model is successfully induced by TDI. The results indicated that rhIL-1ra(50-200 µg/kg)is effective in improving allergic rhinitis. Our findings indicated that rhIL-1ra might serve as a potential new drug for allergic rhinitis therapy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To obtain a clear and qualified oral liquid preparation of Huoxiangzhengqi by improving the addition methods of patchouli oil and perilla leaf oil. Methods Palvis Talci was used to improve the solubility of patchouli oil and perilla leaf oil. Firstly, the two kinds of oil were mixed with Palvis Talci and triturated sufficiently. Then, the mixture was mixed with the physic liquor and agitated sufficiently. At last, the clear preparation was obtained after filtration. Results The preparation was clear, well-tasted and qualified. Conclusion The improved method is feasible, simple, stabilized and economical.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVETo investigate the time trends of cancer mortality among residents in Kaifeng county, Henan province.

METHODSData on cancer mortality from the vital registration system in Kaifeng county from 1988 to 2005 was analyzed. A total of 9543 death records (5974 males and 3567 females) due to malignant tumors were studied. A two-year-period age-specified standardized mortality rates were directly adjusted by the world standard population, and the annual percentage change (APC) of mortality were estimated by a linear logarithm regression.

RESULTSThe crude cancer death rate for male was 95.09/100,000 and its age-standardized death rate was 117.41/100,000. While, the crude cancer death rate for female was 59.13/100,000 and the age-standardized death rate was 57.15/100,000. There was a significant growth tread for lung cancer (APC: 6.54%), liver cancer (5.07%) in males and breast cancer (7.04%) in females in the groups aged over 18. On the contrary, the decreasing treads for esophageal cancer in both of sexes (-7.09%, -13.53%) were also observed in this study. Meanwhile, there was no other significant changes in the trend, either in the tumor sites or mortality, was observed.

CONCLUSIONIn the past two decades, there has been a significant increasing trend for cancer mortality in Kaifeng county, of Henan Province. Hence, it is necessary to enhance epidemiological survey to identify risk factors at the earlier stages.
